I am a New York based video and performance artist. My work looks at power and its authorship. The characters in my works explore and enact their relationships to predetermined or inherited systems.They exist in choreographed social spaces or related imaginary realms.Their environments become forces that are enacted on their bodies and minds and their resistance or compliance develops through improvisation. In conflating real with potential, political with cognitive, my work and my characters search for ways to formulate social knowledge.
